AWARDS & CERTIFICATES

Kingfisher was the first natural toothpaste to receive the important approval of the Oral Health Foundation. The OHF recommend Kingfisher as an effective way to help keep teeth and gums clean and healthy and help prevent tooth decay. They recognise it as a valuable aid to achieving good oral health. We proudly display our OHF approval on the Kingfisher tubes an... d boxes that you see today. It proves that toothpaste can be both natural and effective. Please note that because our Children's Strawberry toothpaste contains no fluoride it does not carry the OHF seal. Kingfisher Natural Toothpaste has repeatedly been awarded Best Buy status by Ethical Consumer Magazine. We were especially pleased to have our work recognised by this important organisation and we carry their seal of approval on all of our boxes and tubes. In past years Kingfisher has also been named as PETA’s Best Cruelty-free Toiletries and Beauty Product and came out top of the 5 tested toothpastes in the Guardian Ethical Shopper Review. Our toothpaste had the highest Ethiscore (16 out of 20), this calculation was worked out by the Ethical Consumer Research Association and takes into account a range of issues including corporate social responsibility, environmental track record, workers' rights, animal testing policy and such like. Our Children's Strawberry Toothpaste was awarded Best New Natural Living Product at its launch at Olympia, London in April 2014. We were particularly heartened by this because the trophy was awarded on the basis of voting at the show by retailers and wholesalers. We were thrilled again in 2017 when our Naturally Whitening Charcoal Toothpaste won the same award.

We believe that working with local people to build a sustainable future for the land, the animals and them is a more constructive way forward than boycotting.

How black is my Kingfisher?

Our Charcoal Toothpaste is black, well actually dark grey, which is the natural colour of the Activated Charcoal. When you've finished your brushing procedure your teeth will be their usual colour and just a tiny bit naturally whitened.
